Background
Vanilla Design Ltd was started in 2007. The business is based in Dunedin, New Zealand but happily ship products worldwide. Business founder, Brent Wilson had some ideas for products he would like to get developed. In addition to looking to wholesale these products he thought it would make sense to sell directly from his own website. Then, in the process of bringing these concepts into production, he identified a number of other people who either had interesting products they didn't plan to sell (so he licensed them) or had developed something great but lacked the marketing and sales channels to reach a wider market (so he stocked them).

Brent Wilson
Brent has lived in Dunedin, New Zealand most of his life. After finishing a degree at the University of Otago he lived in Auckland for a while and founded an ice cream business with a partner - his first proper taste of entrepreneurship. After a bit of a look around overseas he came back to Dunedin with his (life) partner Jenny and now has two young children, Quinn and Xanthe.
